Health Care Debate

20th CD contenders including Kirsten Gillibrand, will be at a debate tonight hosted by Citizen Action of New York. The subject is the health care crisis. Needless to say, absentee Sweeney won't be there as the Capitol Confidential Blog reported:

The man they're all trying to unseat, U.S. Rep. John Sweeney, R-Clifton Park, was invited, but declined to participate. According to Citizen Action’s Kathleen Campbell, a Sweeney aide’s explanation for the declination was that the congressman would be in Washington "all of June.”

(Never mind that it’s now July).
